Guillaume Bottazzi - ギヨム・ボタジ ”Japan, my love“ Solo show, coming tomorrow

ギャラリー五辻は、2019年5月17日～6月20日に開催されますアーティスト、ギヨム・ボタジの第5回個展に喜びを持ってご招待いたします。

この”Japan, my love“展は、ベージュと白の地にコバルトブルー、ターコイズブルーで構成された控えめな色使いを基調とし、146ｃｍｘ97ｃｍの麻の生キャンバスに描かれた最近の作品18点と後ろから照明を当てたエアクラフトキャンバスを用いたインスタレーション2点、和紙を用いたインスタレーション1点を展示します。

「描いているうちに、自分を取り巻く要素や心臓の鼓動と調和する自分のリズムができてきます。自分の感覚と精神が一致するのです。つまり芸術は昇華だと言えます。

日のいづる国、日本にインスピレーションを受けた私の作品は、進化を止めませんでした。私は自分のフォルムを取り除き、絵の具も、キャンバスを保護するための地塗りも取り去りました。私は単に天然の麻のキャンバスが欲しかったのです。」
